Location: Oklahoma | This horse is not stalled at all. After exercise only bout 1/2 way down. I been trying different feed programs for him (I'm not switching fast or every week, I am giving lots time to see if works). Can it be feed he been on it bout 6-8 weeks. He is going to vet to get checked out. I did inject hocks over a week and 1/2 ago. Hocks feel fine. and he is so much better as far as hocks! I dont think that is it. Ive had them stock up being penned up but never turned out. Thanks! I have 2 horses so this is not the one I was asking bout kissing spine. |

Is he stocked up on all four? Have you checked for dermatitis, like a skin rash or irritation under his hair? |

Defense Attorney for The Horse
Location: Claremore, OK | Especially with all this rain, it could be scratches, even if he’s dark skinned on his legs. if there’s puffiness around the hock joint, not down low around the ankle and cannon, see your vet immediately, he’s either got a joint flare or infection. |

Location: Oklahoma | its at the ankles and not quite 1/2 way up towards the hocks. I dont think its hocks but could be wrong not hot or anything its exactly like one in the stall over night and stocked up it is only on the back legs. I didnt feel any scratches, cuts or scrapes. They are whit socks. Ive already told vet last night and he going to vet no matter what but will be Tuesday. its not an emergency. He is not lame or upset and wants to eat and drink. Normal. Husband feeding this morning. Im getting ready to call and ask what they look like. thanks again |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | With all this rain that we have had or having, maybe it could be some type of weed in your pasture that he maybe having a allergic reaction to. I have had this happen, in South Texas theres all kinds of crazy weeds that come up after alot of rain. |

| My little horse use to always carry a little fluid. Always thought that was just him, it would go away when ridden. We had him barefoot for about 2 years and he got a little sore on me last summer. Xrays revealed a slight club foot and some remodeling on P3. So slight you don’t really see it if he’s trimmed regular. Anyway - we put shoes on him. I’ve noticed since we put them back on this spring, he hasn’t been stocking up. whether the 2 are truly connected or not, who knows. But I also wonder if the fluid was response to being a little sore and such. |

Location: Slipping down the slope of old age. Boo hoo. | Sounds like scratches -- doesn't take much of an infection -- just a small spot for them to stock up. I'd treat for it. |

Location: Pittsburg, Texas 75686 | We did have this happen with a brood mare. Turned out to be the grass....wet wet spring. Had to keep her up a while when grass dryed out turned her out and no problem. |
