Location: Idaho | So I am super excited, just thought I would brag on my mare a little bit. Some of you may know that I took a 2-year break from riding and horses, to complete my Master's degree. Well, I wrapped it up in May of this year and we ended up buying a horse as my graduation gift. Well 6 months down the road, My mare and I are finally starting the hit the barrel pen. We have only had 3 exhibition runs under our belt but so far, I'm loving it. We've clocked in the top of the 4D and middle of the 3D, in just 3 runs and have room for improvement. She is super different from any other horse I'd owned, but maybe that is exactly what I needed. :) I can't wait to see what the future holds!
She will be getting her hocks done in the next few weeks(after I come back from vacation), and she will not be on the pattern anymore until she does. Please, no rude comments as I was under orders from my vets to see how she handled it (during and after) and she does get sore for a few days after, which I've been monitoring. Thanks for sharing with me guys! |
