Should the AQHA have an exception for registering clones in the case of geldings?

Just curious now that I have been caught up in the registration of clones. What would be peoples thoughts on the registration of a geldings clone (or maybe just the clone's offspring)? Since the gelding would otherwise be unable to contribute to the gene pool? I guess I'm talking about having a second chance if you have a stellar gelding (and a lot of money lol).

I'm sure this would open a can of worms? Like stallions (or mares) who died or had accidents (or what have you) that would cause them to be unable to breed?

I do kinda like the idea of being able to give a gelding a second chance lol

Why would you want to go through the hassle of dealing with AQHA if you have another choice.  Use the DNA registry, and you are still able to do all the futurity stuff.  AQHA is a joke right now.

No, they should not allow it.  Once you make an exception, the snowball will start to roll.

If you want to register a clone, go to ADNAR and register the horse.

No. If AQHA opens up to registering clones that are gelded, that will just open them up to more lawsuits until the hey are forced to register all clones.

No, if they let one gender of the clones have registering then that would be so unfair to the other clones, then they would have to register them all.. Just leave it alone, if you want a register horse just dont buy a clone..

I'm pretty sure somewhere in the furture the clones will beable to get registered, the way America is going they will get their way, it wont be now but I'm betting it will happen sometimes in the later furture, with the way the new generation is leaning its going to happen unfortunately
