| Success stories? Recommendations? I have an awesome little horse for sale, but I’m having trouble getting good bites. I’m a small nobody trainer in rural Iowa. I just got him back up on BHW so hopefully that produces some better hits. Theres a lot of nice horses up here, but IMO fewer buyers with the budget - again just my opinion. I’ve consulted several trusted folks who’ve bought and sold a lot of nice horses all over and been assured he’s price appropriately. I am thinking about sending him South as the season starts to wind down here if he hasn’t sold. |

Location: Deep South | We've used Billie Ann Harmon a few times and are so pleased with her care, communication and results. She really values being honest and up front about everything with both buyer and seller. We've sent horses to other brokers with known* soundness issues and really had to push the broker to disclose those issues to buyers. They're thought process was that the buyer should do their due diligence with the vet check and if they don't then that's not their fault.... For some people that might be ok, but we don't do business that way. |

I agree and thank you for the recommendation! This horse wears our personal freeze brand that my husband and FIL have worked hard to build a local/regional reputation for quality. It is important to me that the horse is accurately represented! |

>$50k type horse.
Broker convinced the buyer to write the check to her instead of me. Took me a a couple of weeks and some law dogs to get my money.
It was an awesome expereince. |

Also a legitimate concern of mine. We’ve never used a broker before. I’ve got a youth gal jump riding him from time to time when schedules match up. I’m hoping that exposure and results (faster than when I’m on him - weight matters, don’t care what anyone says) gains him interest. |

| I know a couple of people who have for horses in the 30K range and had success. My husband has sold many rope horses for his clients. The thing I would stress the most is to find someone who is super trust worthy and communicates well/openly/honestly with you. Ask around about them, and get references from those who have used them in the past. I think it could be a great tool to get one sold. Best of luck. |

Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | I’ve used the same person in Mississippi 3 times and have been satisfied every time. The first 2 I sent her were to tune up and sale. Those she set the price and I got a %. The 3rd was a finished true 1D horse. I first sent him there for a month for her to run and show off since I wasn’t showing. Then after he’d won a few we started advertising him. I told her she could sell him for what ever she wanted but I had to have X amount. Any amount over that she got to keep. I trust her enough to set the price instead of me setting it. It’s worked out great all 3 times. |

Location: Alabama | Where are you located? I second Billie Ann and Suzanna Grace Leathers (Florida panhandle) is good as well. |

We are in Iowa. Florida is a bit far for my comfort zone. I am thinking I will keep him here for another 60-90 days and see what happens, then as our year starts to wind down if he hasn’t sold I’ll send him South to a broker instead of letting him get fat and hairy with the rest of the herd. |

Can you msg me who this was? I might be in the market for a broker. |

Location: So Cal | I don't have any recommendations out that way, but if it's the ad in your signature, looks like a nice little horse! I watched videos before scrolling down to the price. You may not want to send him to a broker this far, but I feel like there are always people out here in CA looking for youth horses, so it might be worth contacting some people out this way to see if they know anyone looking. I feel like that same horse out here would be priced way higher. (so it may still be worth it for someone to have him shipped, etc) |

Thank you :) I feel he’s very reasonably priced for what he is. I think his height worries a lot of folks - I see all these ISO ads on Facebook looking for 16 hand barrel and horses and I’m like - look at my pony!!! Even on the big patterns, he inhales the barrels and makes up for his short legs. |

Location: Watertown, SD | Bryel Mulligan (Lions Share Of Fame owner) did a great job brokering horses for us several years ago. The entire family did a good job of keeping their ear to the ground, knowing who was looking for what and the type of horse that would work. They're in Coleman, OK so it's a doable distance from IA. I haven't been in contact with her for awhile now, so am unsure if she still is in a position to help. |
