Today is
I am putting this out there as a Public Service Announcement. My uncle is an absolute warrior about cleaning brush on the fence lines where chiggers thrive. He told me yesterday that he had been eat up with chiggers bites. After taking a shower, he was putting on his Right Guard spray deodorant and thought what the heck, and he sprayed the chigger bites. He swears it stopped the itching and irritation. I bought a can of Right Guard spray today to keep on hand, just in case.
That's awesome!! They are the worst. Last time I had them, I had worn shorts fixing fence...BAD IDEA. I looked like I had chicken pox on my thighs and butt cheeks

Been there, done that.
In a pinch, I've used hair spray.
I've just discovered Apple Cider Vinegar works on pretty much anything! It reeks to high heaven but it sure does help! I got into something nasty while weed eating a few weeks ago.. my arm broke out in a horrible rash itching so badly I scratched in my sleep and my arm would bleed. I tried everything... hemp oil too.. it would help a little but the itching would come back with a vengeance. I resorted to using the numbing cream theyd use on Jacob's port to access it on chemo days to get relief! I was about to go to the dr and on a whim I tried ACV w/ the "mother" and it immediately stopped the itch and has begun clearing it up. I'm a firm believer in it. I also on the advice of a dog breeder friend of mine, mixed ACV with a tiny bit of hydrogen peroxide and used a syringe to put it in my dogs ear, he had a bad ear infection and within 2 days it has completely cleared it up along with a hot spot he developed from scratching.
We read water meters for a rural water association, and I got into ants really bad one day. I had nothing to put on the bites and was scratching myself til they were bleeding. Found some Germ-X in my purse, and y'all, that stuff worked!!!! Quit itching that day and didn't start back the next. I've used it several times since.
