So about 3 months ago I noticed a few small hard lumps on my horses back. Not directly on the spine. Where the saddle sits. My vet isnt concerned, but would like them to go away and suggested I put sore no more gel on them. He gets chiro and accupuncture once every 3 weeks, and has never been sore in his back. These bumps don't bother him at all when I touch them, but I would like to see them gone.
I ride in a Tammy Fischer treeless saddle and have been since October of 2018. I switch between two 5 star pads and a cactus pad.I use a BOT liner every ride and use a shoulder relief cinch. He is still doing great in his training and are having no issues.
I did look on Google, and I think they might be pressure bumps, caused mostly by tack..but I have been using my same setup for awhile now. My saddle is a 2012 model.
Small bumps - fly bites
large bumps could be reaction to saddle pad
especially if you have cleaned with a ditergent
my horse has small bumps. I applied a topical fly
repellent like equispot. I’m not a fan of chemicals but
a fly sheet down here is HOT
his small lumps disappear until the fly topical needs reapplication

Thank you! It might be the detergent..I was using a non scented free and clear detergent but switched..so I'll bring the liners home and wash with a non scented detergent! I'll try to get a picture today
Just rinse. Any soap can/will scald their back
If you have to wash rinse several times
