|  I purchased my mare about a year ago, she was started late and this is her first year being seasoned (she’s 8). I really dislike her registered name and recently learned you can change it. Her barn name is Belle, just seeing if anyone had any name recommendations?!

I really like look howie jet!! Thanks for the suggestions everyone keep them coming ?? is there a way to lookup if specific names are available if you aren’t an AQHA member? |

Plus, searchng for foal names is free - prety much any other kind of record will cost ya. I'm not sure if there is a time frame for changing a name. For some reason, as long as they haven't been entered in an AQHA show it can be changed is ringing a bell, but I'm not 100% on that.

They can't have any AQHA points, I think, and for sure they can not be on any breeding certificates of any breed. I tried to change a mare's name a couple years ago, and turns out they'd tried to breed her to a TB stud before I bought her so I couldn't. |
