My gelding is a turnout boot killer!  I use the ones that attach with velco because I detest wrestling those solid rubber ones.  He will rip them off, totally destroying them, and will pitch them into the center isle of the barn.  (Sigh)  Has anybody ever used anything to deter this like spraying them with something like bitter apple? or cayenne pepper?  LOL!  He's killing my budget!

Your guy sounds like a silly boy with a silly personality. My gelding is like this to. He doesn't take his boots off when turned out & I use the velcro ones, but he has suceeded at pulling his shoe off while wearing them. It's always that right one " sigh"   When I bring him in, I take the boots off & hang them on his blanket bar & when I go to do last night barn check, I find them in the barn isleway " sigh"  I just shake my head, tell him I love him, that he is silly & I go to the house. Gotta luv these guys with the personality's
