Long post ahead!

About a year ago, I bought a Double J Pozzi Wide for my mare. She has always had "divots" behind her shoulders, but this saddle seemed to sit pretty balanced on her back. She was off for six months and the divots never really filled in or fleshed out, so I wasn't too concerned about them. I also ride with a BioFit to try and help this problem. It has been a while since this first started, but: my saddle always seems to shift one way or the other. I use a shoulder relief cinch which helped the problem some, but it still seems to be shifting, especially during circle work. I have tried really focusing on staying balanced in case it was my fault, but it still seems to move (more so than what is normal). My stirrups also seem to never be the same length, regardless of them being on the same hole... I guess I'm just kind of at a loss and want some tips... I was wanting to try the six point saddle pad to help shim in my mare's shoulders, but they aren't going to start selling it again until the Fall. Any ideas? I know this post is kind of all over the place, and that's just about how I feel right now!

Did you have the wide fitted by a double j saddle fitter?  It’s sounding like it’s not the correct tree for her.  I though their #10 was more for one that dipped behind the shoulders, it has more rock - I think, not a double j rider so I could be wrong:

Only only going to be able to fix so much with different pads if the overall saddle tree doesn’t fit.

I did not have it fitted by a Double J fitter but I had tried the saddles on her prior to purchasing (a friend had multiple trees). Are there any saddle fitters in the Bryan/College Station area that could help me out?

Double J does have a saddle fitter. He has access to all the trees that double J uses and if nothing fits your horse he can design and create one that will fit.  I don't know his schedule of course but I bet if you were to call Double j they could get you in touch with him. His name is Bob.

Give them a call and they should be able to direct you to someone close by who can help you out.
