 Scooters Savior
Location: "Si Fi" Ville | Not really.... my dryer quit. It was either clothesline or nakedness, which is not an option when you are on the dark side of 50’s, and could result in a stint in the locked ward of the nursing home or jail time for scaring the bedevil out of innocents. However, the clothes line is the perfect hay string white and fits in nicely with the landscape. Also, it is unbelievably quiet. Some weeks ago, i ordered a lovely dryer from Lowe’s. Apparently, the carrier pigeon hit a rough patch over Korea or was shot down and is now floating along with my order in a steaming bowl of dim sum. As a result I tied hay string to our gooseneck trailer and then to the barn. I figure this in a way, is multitasking since my horse is sorely in need of some desensitizing. He is currently eating his hay on the other side of the barn. He has yet to “discover” it. How do I know this? I have not heard the sound of dirt clods pummeling the barn as he is getting the he77 out of dodge. i walked out earlier to see underwear flopping in the wind much like our old a$$es. It’s not a pretty sight. I just hope the mailman has no deliveries today. If anybody should happen upon the carrier pigeon, please pm me. |

Location: Arkansas | You, Miss Cat, should write comedies--I sorely needed to laugh that hard today!! If it makes you feel any better, Momma's refrigerator was delivered yesterday--ordered it only about 2 or so months ago. . . . So there is hope. (We'll keep our eyes open for MIA pigeon.) |

Location: "Si Fi" Ville | Oh he77 did she order her fridge from Lowe’s too? It’s been an exciting day. I got all high tech and ordered a Roomba since Sams Club had a one day sale. Today it went missing. Had to send out a search party. I was about to start interrogating the cur dogs Joe Kenda style. We finally found it wedged in some obscure spot. It tried to climb a bedspread. I should install the Roomba software on my phone so I can gps the dang thing when it fails to go back “home”aka dock. |

Location: Kansas | I just bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher from Lowes (took a month to get it). Little did I know that after 16 years with a $200 dishwasher that washed and dried my dishes perfectly the new ones don't. It seems that in the interest of preserving energy they leave the dishes and the interior of the dishwasher wet. Apparently Whirlpool doesn't know about the dangers of mold. The oldie washed my dishes in 45 minutes, this one can take 3 hours if you let it (again in the interest of saving energy). Yep, that'll save electricity alright. Feeling your pain and loved your post. |

You are so right about dishwashers. Mine takes 2 hrs and 56 minutes to run and the dishes are not dry. It is an LG. I did start using the name brand detergent rather than the store brand and the dishes look much clearer. Who knew? |

In all my complaints to Whirlpool and Lowes I kept hearing about using RinseAid and the errors of putting "anything" plastic in this dishwasher. They're right, anything plastic is left with stains. Not a problem with my old dishwasher. On one occasion when I was at Lowes an elderly lady had brought some dishes (yep, all plastic...ish) and they were coated with some sort of oily black guck. She had bought a brand new Frigadaire and was disgusted. |

| My dryer died and I did the same thing. Tied a bunch of bailing twine between a tree and my mom's porch. Wala sun powered dryer. Only thing I didn't like was my towels were hard and stiff. |

| I have, well...HAD an oversized KING size beautiful white down comforter, I could wash it in my machine but it needed to air dry. I hung it out on my back porch over the railing to dry in the wind... i totally forgot about it and ran to town, putting my 3 labs in the backyard, like I always do when I leave. Theres still white down feathers flying around to this day. I saw the feathers flying when I pulled into my driveway I thought they killed our white chickens at first and then it hit me, my lovely comforter, was shredded... I mean to death!!! Huh... bird dogs .... |
