Location: midwest mama | I'm looking at ordering a brand new 2 Horse Platinum Bumper Pull trailer. Every option known to man - including fans for the horses, a walk through door from the dressing room to the front stall, hay rack, 8' wide with mangers, full ramp, insulated, rear tack, front and rear drop downs, etc.etc. Basically my dream trailer. I don't want a gooseneck as I might want to pull this with a little motorhome in the future. Priced it out, and it's going to be about $30,000. Am I crazy for spending that much for a 2 horse bumper pull?

| If its exactly what you want/need then nope, not crazy at all. I'm not sure you'll ever get that back if you need to sell if for something bigger though... unless your motto is similar to mine.. buy high, sell low ... lol! I'm being sarcastic, it's just seems to have been a "theme" around here lately for me. Although I did come out ahead when I sold my last trailer, by the grace of God, I'm sure |

| I would get a 3H. I don’t think you’re crazy if it’s what you want and you understand resale might be so-so if you need to sell it in the future. But, towing with motor homes is getting more popular so maybe resale would be better than I think. There’s a family around here that raises and trains reined cow horses and dang - their motor home looks like a tour bus and they’ve got a tricked out 5 horse bumper pull behind it. |

Location: Missouri | Echoing what others have said...I'd definitely go for a 3h. Otherwise, if it's what you want as far as options and you can afford it, why not? You'll have to show up pics if you do order one! |

Location: South Georgia | I don't really think you're crazy. I would, however, recommend the 3 horse for resale potential. People would be more willing to pay a price for a loaded 3 horse BP than they would for a 2 horse. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | if you're going to be hauling 2 horses I would go with a 3 horse myself, I always use the extra stall for storage when hauling and going to be gone more then a few days, that extra stall always comes in handy. |

Location: My happy place | We have the same trailer mentioned minus the ramp, walk thru door, and insulated area for the horses. It's a 2014 can't tell you how many compliments we get on what I call my Barbie horse trailer. Purchased used 2 years ago still looks brand new and could sell in a minute for what we paid. We switched from a large LQ to a motor home, very happy. I would like a 3 horse but a little more weight than we wanted and this trailer has tons of storage. I do wish it was insulated. IMO if I was still showing a lot & more than 1 horse, I would stick with a LQ, but we vacation a lot without horses & trail ride which is much better in a MH. Good luck finding used I think we just got lucky, sure is a nice trailer. I don't know that I could pay 30,000. I would have to look a bit harder for a used one, I like having it 2 years and still worth as much as I paid. However I am a bargain shopper. |
