| I see saxon, weatherbeeta, Horze, Tuff rider, Tough one, SS TAck....... I usually order mine online becasue I live hours from town lol what do you prefer?? We live where we get cold rains (normally 30-45 degrees) and wind... and that wet crappy snow lol. not that light fluffy hallmark movie snow They have a run in barn but they still will stand out in the rain sometimes and will stand and shiver. Here's what I have to have: 1200D, lite-med weight, snaps/open front. |

Location: Windoming | I've used the Tough One--1200 denier, 300 grams the last few years with good results. My horses wear them 24/7 in the winter. I live in Wyoming. So far they have lasted two years. Order from Chick's Saddlery for the best prices. |

| Last year I bought 4 heavy duty blankets from horze.com, they were $75 each (I think it was a flash sale!). They’re fantastic, high quality, super thick blankets. |

| I did have a tough1 last a number of years although I’m handy at repairs. i replaces with a Schneider’s and no comparison. We don’t blanket right now but I would buy Schneider’s if we did. |

Location: CTX | I only have SStack blankets. They hold up real good. I do get them at the end of the season on sale. And I always get at least 1200 Denier. And I do the mid weight. If I need more I put a liner under them. But we are in Texas so don't really have that many cold days. |

 Balance Beam and more...

Location: 31 lengths farms | When I just had one horse to blanket I had the $$ to spend on Rambo Rugs and it was well worth the money. My mare used that blanket for about 5 or 6 years and when I sent it to a young woman with an older horse that was having trouble dealing with the cold winters in Wyoming it was still in great shape and I thought a good way to honor my mare too. Now that I have 3 to keep blanketed I love the Schneider's blankets 1600 D high neck with the 10 year warrenty!!! Cannot go wrong, great fit too, no rub marks and going on our 4th year in them. |

Location: Where the buffalo roam | Rambo all the way! Yes - they are spendy, but my horses can destroy all other brands with just a year's use. I have 4 horses and I bought one a year until everyone had one.The oldest blanket is 7 years old and I have had it cleaned and re-waterproofed once. Not only do they stay waterproof, they are difficult to rip. I really love how they fall back in to place after a horse rolls or lays down - no hanging down one side. I buy all my blankets from performancehorseblankets.com. They have a lot of different brands and they have the best prices on the Rambos. They are also one of the few places that will occasionally have sales on them. Only takes 3 days to get them once you order. |

Location: Illinois | I get the SmartPak Ultimates with the 10 year free replacement. I have blanket shredders and have always had to buy 1-2 blankets every winter for 2 of the horses. The gelding has now had his 5 years and it's not ripped anywhere and he's gone through the wire fence 2x with it on. The mare has gotten though 2 winters now and hers is still fine. I have had a few of the front snaps break during their shenanigans but I just call and they send me free replacements. I've only had to relplace one blanket so far. I buy when they go on sale, I can pick them up for about half price. I also have an old Schneiders one that has lasted one gelding about 6 years now, its in perfect shape still but he's never ripped a blanket either. I always called them to order and asked if they had any leftover of the previous years styles, and always got them half price if one was in the size I needed. |
