Location: Georgia | Highpoint is standing this stud and I’m curious if anyone has seen him in person? Or maybe even bred a mare to him? I won a breeding to him at a benefit barrel race this past weekend and I’m trying to decide if I should use it or sell it. He’s a good looking guy and has won about $40,000 in futurities. I think his oldest foals may be 2 or 3. A friend of mine has a son of Perks Alive but thats the only one that I have ever been around. Just curious if anyone had any thoughts about the bloodline. TIA! https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/nnn+firewater+alive

I’m thinking the same thing honestly. He’s a junior stallion so it’s taking a chance but I’m one of those people who thinks everything happens for a reason. I feel like there is a reason I won him and probably should go with it LOL. I’ve never had a FWF but I’ve sure been wanting one for a while. He is actually owned by a ranch about an hour down the road from me (hence how he got in the benefit raffle). They raised him and sent him to Ryann Pedone to futurity. And now obviously he is standing in TX. But it just doesn’t look like he’s gained too much popularity yet. |

He is supposedly well over 16 hands which is a plus in my book because the mare I have to breed to him is about 14.3 and a little more height sure would be nice! Is your Perks Alive mare pretty level headed? Not too anxious? Easy to train? I talked with a girl who used to work on the ranch that raised this stud and she said he has loads of personality and is very silly - which is how I like em. |

| I raised a Perks Alive filly- beautiful bay mare with loads of personality. She LOVES people and attention! Unfortunately she's hurt w a DFT and dont know if she'll run again, but i absolutely love her! Also have a FWF mare who is super athletic and consistent. She's a little on the shy side but very sweet and honest. I dont think you can go wrong at all! |
