I’ve had all of mine in a single binder with tabs for years, but now I have too many horses and incentive programs to try to keep up with. I’m thinking I need one binder/folder per horse.

How do you keep yours organized?

A 1" binder has done the trick so far for us but I could see moving up to a 3" with folders.

I have a zippered binder. Each horse’s papers are in a sheet protector. Any race records, coggins test, health certificates are in THAT sheet protector. Some horses are registered in more than one association registry. Those papers are in that same sheet protector. That way if I have to give the papers to my trainer, it all goes together. Binder stays in my truck since that is where I need coggins or other things. (Our barrel racing association gave those one year as awards, handy). I have seen customized binders at registered shows that made mine look pretty sad.

I have a few binders. I have one for the house that all my important stuff is in - and all the originals. (Coggins, papers, forms, breeding stuff for my stud, etc.) its in a safe place, i know where its at.

One in the trailer that goes with us anywhere - it has copies of coggins, and papers. I can't tell you how many times i lost my original coggins.

The ones that have more paperwork than others, do have their own binders.

I do this too. 1 binder has all the originals in it and that one lives in the safe at home. And the other 1 lives in the truck with copies of papers and coggins. I also have a copy of all of that on my google drive. Just for safe keeping. Mind you, we only have 4 horses right now (1 on the way) so it's pretty easy to maintain like that.

Many places we go require the original Coggins and they will not let you in with a copy. Same at registered shows. If I had some here and some there I never would have the papers I needed. All of mine are together so I know where they are.

This is what I do as well... and then when I sell the horse the new owner gets the sheet protector full of paperwork.

Our coggins are all digital now so I just have the vets office print me 2 copies, one for our hauling truck and one for the house.

In the truck I keep a small receipt organizer with a copy of all our coggins and any health papers for where we are going.  Each horse in its own compartment.

Papers are kept in a safe place in the house in a binder.  I also keep copies of papers on horses I've sold with who/where I sold them.  Maybe that makes me OCD, but there's still a couple horses registered to me in AQHA's system that I haven't owned in years but the buyers never transferred.

I don't have to deal with incentives etc yet so that's not part of the program.

i keep each individual horse's papers in a clear sleeve with 3 ring holes, along with copies of their coggins. And I shove it in my folding organizer where I keep all my paperwork and bills lol

Each one of my horses has their own binder in the house with originals of everything, papers, shot records, coggins, 4 photos (sides, front and back), all of which is backed up to my computer and Google Drive. I keep a copy of coggins and copy of papers for everyone in a zip up binder that stays in the truck.

i too, use binders and put copies of their papers, in sheet protectors along with their coggins, and pictures.

The originals stay in a safe place at home.
