As some of you have seen my last post from about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago, I got my horses stifles injected on November 23rd. However our show a couple days ago, he is  still not 100% in his hind end. I believe his SI is sore and may also need injected. Is this too soon to go back to the vet to have him take a look? The vet advised me that he should be back normal within the middle of the week that he got injected. That is not the case.

Ask your vet.

Definitely ask the vet, sometimes when you inject something that solves that issue and another one will appear.

I will not be seeing the same vet, it is a different one. Due to my limited availability and the vet's it is hard for me to get to the same one everytime. The vet I go to is very popular, all of them are so it's a take what I an get.

Call the vet and talk to them. I'm very lucky my vet will talk with me over the know and sometimes have me send pictures and vidoes.

I alwasy err on the side of caution so if you can't get ahold of the vet to talk with him, make an appointment. I had a mare that I let go too long between injections and they didn't seem to work, did her SI and she went right back to working.

I did ask him to call me back, but he has not yet. I still made an appointment for tomorrow just in case. Better safe than sorry I guess. I just know something else is still wrong, so hopefully they believe me and look deeper!

They agree his SI is sore, but I have to go back because the vet that handles the SI ended up calling off. The vet I did end up seeing said his right knee may need injected in the future but he wouldn't do it now.

Don't wait on the SI, I'd get back in as soon as possible to have it done. Especially if you're still riding and planning on running through out the winter.

Hopefully that fixes your issues!

I had to wait, the vet that could do it called off so I had to schedule another appointment.
