| The key to understanding the write of Ecclesiastes rests in a single word "BEFORE" and his message embrace the world while it is still alive with ALL of its possibilities. He insists that great change will quickly come to the young that will rob them of their joy, courage, and vitality. Once these things are gone, only a shell of what was will remain. The preacher calls for youth to SEEK God in early life BEFORE difficult days. He describes "BEFORE" days as a time when the sun and moon and stars are bright. It is a time for visions and dreams, and a time when nothing is impossible. SEEK God then, when every dream of God can be your dream. "BEFORE" is a time of strength and power when the young do great exploits. Seek God when all your vitality remains. "BEFORE" is also a time all the doors are open with opportunity. Fair or not, as one grows older, doors begin to shut and possibilities narrow. The challenges is to SEEK God when there is unlimited potential to complete His will and fulfill you destiny. Ecclesiastes 12:1-8 REMEMBER now your Creator in the days of your youth, BEFORE the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, " I have no pleasure in them".. while the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are not darkened, and the cloud do not return after the rain' in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men bow down; when the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look through the windows grow dim; when the door shut in the streeets, and the sound of the grinding is low; when one rises up at the sound of a bird, and all the daughters of music are brought low. Also they are afraid of height, and of terrors in the way; when the almond trees blossoms, the grasshopper is a burden, and desires fail. For man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets. Remember your Creator BEFORE the silver cord is loosened, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the well. Then the dust will retune to the earth as it was, and the Spirit will return to God who gave it. 'Vanity of vanities" says the Preacher. "All is vanity". The spirit is the deepest part of you. It's the engine of life, not always seen but always felt, and it cheers us on in ways of God. It inspires confident living, directs decisions, and tells us to KEEP ON RUNNING when we want to stop. The cheering of the Spirit KEEPS us FOCUSED on what REALLY MATTERS. Don't be distracted by distractions. KEEP CHOOSING His Lordship over you life. The PROMISE is certain; if you order sorry away, it will leave and the charring will return, for you have won another victory and decided again to follow Jesus as Lord of all life. Dreams never have to die....unless YOU quit....as long as you have a breath...it is a NEW BEGINNING, if you want it bad enough...you will work hard enough to get it...there is a moment when the heart of a young person rejoices and begins to follow Jesus; Perhaps it is in a great moment of worship service, when the Holy Spirit is POWERFULLY PRESENT and the young heart is filled with love and devotion to Jesus...but later comes the reality of the flesh and all its temptations. EVERY Christian has this experience. It is at these moments the heart is filled with sorrow and a desire to break away...when this occurs, Ecclesiastes DEMANDS you FOLLOW your cheering heart, the heart that IS CHEERING your RELATIONSHIP and COMMITMENT TO the Lord Jesus. This is the way; WALK IN IT! For your dreams and desires are WITH Jesus Christ...Father God, guide me today and ALWAYS to DO ALL things that will bring GLORY AND HONOR TO You AMEN...YES, people are going to quit on you, but YOU get up every morning, and DON"T quit on yourself. For it is WITH God ALL things ARE POSSIBLE Matthew 19:26
