 Balance Beam and more...

Location: 31 lengths farms | She was at Camp Pendleton when my dad was stationed there, they would do a 100 mile march and towards the end of the march they would bring Reckless out to greet the men and walk with them the last few miles. For those that haven't read her story, you should really look her up, a Marine purchased her while they were in Korea and she hauled Ammo, and injured soldiers back and forth to the front lines, often making the trek by herself with no lead. They taught her to get down when there was in coming rounds and shared their rations with her and then actually brought her back from Korea on board a ship. A few years ago a statue of her was mounted at Quantico and then a year or so later another one at Camp Pendleton, the statues are absolutely gorgeous!!! |
