Location: Georgia | We've gone to the NFR a few times and we cant go to the American this year because we have to attend a wedding that weekend. So we are thinking about branching out and going somewhere new. Aside from the rodeo, I see that Cheyenne has the "PBR Last Cowboy Standing" event which my husband would enjoy and I would like to see the wild horse race. Calagary has the "Bulls after Dark" for him and I would love to watch all the different races (sidesaddle, relay, chuckwagon). I've heard lots of good things about both so it's hard to decide. Any input would be great. |

Location: Texas | Been to Cheyenne a few times and enjoyed it. Would love to go to Calgary. Salinas CA is also very cool. Pendleton is still my favorite. I say 'go to both'. |

Location: North of the 49th Parallel | I would say Calgary (I'm a little biased) because you can get away for a day and go see Banff/Lake Louise and see the Rocky Mountains which are absolutely gorgeous. |

Location: South Dakota | I would say Calgary Stampede, and be sure to travel to Banff, for some majestic sight seeing in the Rockies. Also American dollar is high, so the exchange rate, is very much in your favor, although cost of living is high in Canada. |

Location: Georgia | Thanks for the replies! I would love to do both of them but they are both in July so I couldnt get that much time off work lol. Pendleton is on my list too! Maybe next year! Banff looks absolutely gorgeous in pictures. Thats making me want to go to Calgary. Plus, I've never been to Canada so that would be pretty cool. |

| Spruce meadows is a great day too if you go to Calgary. Theres so much to do around the stampede though, depending how long you are coming for, you might have to limit how much you do and wish you stayed longer! There is so much more than just the rodeo and midway going on! |

Yes! Spruce Meadows is a must see as well. |

Location: Canada | Calgary- Typically theres a Grand Prix going on at Spruce Meadows, which is for the most part cheaper than Calgary rodeo. Calgary offers performance packages to the Rodeo and to chuckwagon racing. I've never been to Cheyenne- would love to go but I've been to Calgary twice (and Calgary's literally a larger than life experience). |

Having been to both several times, I find that Calgary has much more to offer. |
