What is the best boot to use when a horse loses a shoe? Since I can't seem to find a farrier that will get to me to replace shoes in a timely manner I need to have a boot available so my mare doesn't get lame while waiting for a new shoe.

I like Cavallo Trek.  I've put them on in the pasture and they've stayed on. Plus, there's no left or right side - you can put on either hoof.
