Simply using it just to view pages/groups of your barrel racing associations and such. That's a very good idea! Can you have more then 1 account with FB? I know that some way BB's on here have more then one. Edited to say, I know some BB's on this forum have more then 1 usier name, I always wondered how they can do that, but like you said maybe have more then one Email account?

Probably have to create a new email to associate it with too. Since my email is linked to Facebook. |

Right, it would require a new email address. You can deactivate your current account, but it is still linked to that email address so you cannot reuse it. I have like 5 emails though so its never a shortage for me LOL |

| I don't do drama on Facebook AT ALL. We only have prayer requests, looking for missing people and amber alerts. Have a few friends that are running WPRA and are a long way from home sobitviscnice to know they are doing well and winning. Sounds pretty boring but it's nice that way. There is an E Tx events page that is handy. Oh and a bunch of Trump! |

| I don't do Facebook either. A lot of organizations pages are public. You can get all the info you need just have to check their pages regularly to see what's going on. If an organization that you would like to keep informed of and they don't have a public page maybe ask them to make it public for the non Facebookers. I was on Facebook when it first started blowing up. Haven't been on it as a member for 8+ years. Don't miss a thing. I can check my local town page see what's going on. |

| So I finally made another Facebook account with my other rarely used email. I've set it up to only see certain pages I'm interested in and no friends and as far as I know, it's pretty private. I joined some of my old groups for tack sales and swaps. I Absolutely love it! No DRAMA! I do keep getting asked to find friends, and of course the annoying people you may know thing keeps popping up, but I delete it. I think this is actually going to work. |

You could also change the name on your account that way if you pop up on your other friends/family members "might know" list, they won't be angry when you don't accept the request. I think FB has a good place, like my family that's stationed overseas it's way cheaper to keep in contact that way, but best thing I ever did was log out almost 6 months ago :) |

| I already told them please dont expect me to do any friend requests right now. Hopefully they wont get twisted lol! I'm sure enjoying my Facebook again without all the "look at me fluff" to deal with. It's fun again. I probably should have changed my name though! I didnt even think of that! I have all my settings set to private so... |

If anyone asks just tell them you still have the other account & set up the second one just specifically for the horse stuff & that you only follow those pages on this new one |

Location: where the wind blows | I've honestly contemplated doing this lately. I liked fb for keeping in touch with people from where I grew up and family that lives all over the world. But what is stressing me out and has me wanting to disconnect is the huge political mess our country -Canada- Is in right now and how even if I try to quit watching the news I don't follow any news fb pages my feed is still filled with people sharing the stupidity of our politicians and the stupid of idiots like Joaquin Phoenix rant. I went through the other day and unfollowed a lot of people and pages and I'm still seeing news crap. I'll be honest I tend to be a bit of a news junky and I don't agree with burying our heads in the sand and not being aware of what is going on but I was honestly getting depressed. I love fb and hate and despise it all at once.

| I use to follow all kinds of news pages and just found myself getting completely irritated and arguing with strangers. Politics is the worst. So my mom, love her dearly, but she posts so much political stuff and she has friends that are constantly bashing her views on her Facebook and Trump... I use to go to defend her and get into ridiculous arguments with people I do not even know. I found myself constantly rolling my eyes and then being irritated all day because of one stupid comment. Stepping away for a little bit helped but I missed the barrel racing chats and tack/horse sales, etc etc and I enjoy following feed companies and reading reviews and such, plus so many awesome recipes I've found on Facebook! . This, so far, has worked out perfectly. I do feel a tinge of guilt when I see one of my family members on the people I may know pop up and I ignore but ... hey if we want to talk and find out what's going on in each others lives, we can call or text. I'm using this Facebook page strictly to fuel my fire of what I'm into, not looking into others lives on a daily basis and shaking my head. So funny story, my pastor called me today.. I forgot I was friends with him on my original Facebook that I deactivated lol! He asked if I was mad at him lol lol lol!! I literally started laughing ... we hadn't been to church in a few weeks either. He didnt mention Facebook but after hanging up with him, it hit me. So on my new Facebook, I followed the church and events pages to stay in the loop. |

| Honestly - I believe BHW is missing a huge opportunity to start promoting their events and for sale ads again. It used to be that your event didn't exist or your horse wasn't for sale if it wasn't on BHW. With the rise of Facebook, that kind of changed. But if I were BHW, I'd be proactively pushing event registration and sale ads. :) |
