If I have a right to be upset by the fact it was my birthday and I didn't get a post on fb, text, phone call or message from my 2 living sisters or 99% of my blood family. My ex brother in law wished me happy Birthday and the nephew I share a birthday with,  but not one other family member. My husbands family all did, including his neices and nephews. I'm honestly not sure if I should be hurt or ****ed off. Sorry just needed to rant.

Well, if you had posted this a little sooner all of here on BHW would have wished you a Happy Birthday today.  I used to be hurt when my husband forgot our anniversary or my relatives forgot my birthday but now it just seems like one less thing to worry about when I forget theirs.

Happy Birthday and don't fret about it.  It'll be okay.

It's like that for me every year. Christmas 2018 I fixed abigvChristmas dinner and made small portions for the freezer. I don't do drama and if that what it takes to have a peaceful holiday it is way better for me.

Happy Belated Birthday!! Totally get where you are coming from, especially if they are hardcore FB people since FB reminds you of birthdays.

The only person that hurts my feelings if they miss my birthday is my husband. And I don't want a present, just a happy birthday wish. Everyone in my family is so busy with life stuff, I understand. I myself have forgot birthdays. As long as everyone is doing well and they are happy and we talk at least once a month, I'm good.
So, Happy Belated Birthday, I hope it ended a good one!

I could have written this. My Birthday was yesterday.  I am recently off of Facebook. Removed my account.  I got a call from my mom. A text from my sister, a call from my cousin. Oh and 2 out of 3 sister in laws. (Token text) didnt hear from my brother,  not a single one of my "friends", my mil or fil none of my nieces and nephews or my stepdaughter. I told myself I wouldnt let it bother me,  but it does. A lot. So I say YES you can be upset. People dont live anymore without social media and it truly shows in incidences like this. Even my ex husband sent me a happy Birthday text .... my brother in law didnt, my nephews didnt. It just plain sucks.. I feel you. Happy Birthday,  by the way;-

I also do not get many Happy Birthdays anymore.  My one niece who I had thought of as a daughter doesn't even send me a text or anything.  Since I divorced her uncle and moved away I guess I am forgotten to her.  Makes me sad.  We used to be so close not anymore I guess.

Anyway Happy Birthday to ALL who have had birthdays and who are going to have birthdays.

This post is a great reminder, that little things matter....a quick hello...how are you doing...Happy Birthday...that kind of thing. It does matter :

Best wishes and a warm hug, to all, who have felt the sting of being overlooked or ignored.

This a great point. I am blessed to have wonderful family, but many don't. I am going to try to make a greater effort to not forget friends and family on their irthdays, especially the ones who are by themselves or have little to no family. Thank you for the reminder!
