| Need a break from coronavirus woes... I received my first Hay Chix net yesterday! Oh my, I'm so impressed with it! I absolutely love it! Putting in an order for a 2nd. I'm thinking about getting the free up feeder, anyone have any experience with those? I got the half bale net .. I usually use the cheap hay nets from Big D's. You can feel the difference in quality in these nets and I love being able to clip my bag up instead of tying. Im hooked! |

| I have the free up feeders and love them! The only complaint I have is we hung them a little too high and they're harder to fill when I can't hardly reach them. Lol My other recommendation is to get the new latch they just released, my mare likes to fling her net and it gets caught on the latch, but the new version they addressed this issue and fixed the design flaw! |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I have two nets for large square bales that I use to put in old water troughs, works really well, but I'm not crazy about these nets they are just OK with me. I use them during the summer months when its not too rainy sometimes. I might look into one for round bales thou, maybe mummmm maybe not, ha ha ha ha I like the Chix nets with the bigger holes, I hate those with the tiny holes, I want my horses to at least beable to get some hay into their mouths, LOL.

You can get the hay chix with bigger holes. The one I got seems perfect for mine. He gets enough but not too much... I just keep it filled all the time ... its the half bale net so I do half grass and half alfalfa... I use to put the alfalfa in his trough and he would toss it out, step on it and spread it everywhere to get the greenest parts... this is so much better! The netting is softer than what I was using too. Feels so much better |

| I just ordered the 6' big bale net. Because I feed 3' x 4' x 8' bales. Anxious to try it. |

I really need to get that 1 in slow feed extreme net for the mare in my profile pic. She is a vaccum. Has anyone ever used the hanging thing but hung it lower? I try to feed as close to the ground as possible, but I same mare has this cute ability to get her shoes stuck in her hay nets, so currently feeding on the ground without a hay net, and wasting a lot. Not to mention....she's inhaling yer hay and then standing around most of the day waiting on her next meal. |
