Location: In The Land of Cotton | The label on either product should tell you which product works best for the weeds you are trying to kill. You read the label and adjust to the size of your tank. It should have the formulas. But usually it is so many ounces per gallons of water If you can't figure it out, call your extension agent. |

Location: MinneSNOWta | I'm not familiar with either of those brands. We usually use 2-4-D. But, it will kill all broadleaf plants, so I think that means it would kill the clover. The best is to use round up before planting, but it sounds like it may be too late for that ;-) Your best bet at this point may be just to mow the pasture regularly, and spot spray any particularly bad/thick areas of weeds. The mowing should help them die off and grass take over. Hopefully you can find an extension office agent near you. We get a lot of our information from the U of MN. If you are similar climate, maybe you could even find something in Pennsylvania or other neighboring state. The U of MN website is www.extension.umn.edu/horse if you want to look around. Good luck, those pastures are a never-ending chore, but so worth it! |

Location: Arkansas | Sean used 2-4D to spot spray those yellow waxy flowers; he just took me down there to have a mini-spa hour with the kids---and wow it looks great! You can tell where he sprayed, even along the inside edges of C's empty ponds. I'm a happy girl with that pasture . Manes are a different story, however. . . .

I think the pasture pro will kill all broad leaves, so this means clover too. Better check the label to be sure, but I believe thats how it read. I spot spray those areas, and cut the tops out when they start growing to not spread the seeds. |
