| Looking into getting one. It looks like it sits pretty far down though which is my only worry. Thoughts? |

| If you study the horse's nerve anatomy on their head, it may make more sense, but I would go straight to the man, himself. |

Maybe he will see this thread and come on to explain. |

| I guess I'm hoping for other opinions and experiences too. I'll message him as well. I was always taught never to have it that low due to the nasal bone (don't know the technical name)/soft tissue/nasal passages. I love the idea of the lift it has and the chain nose band though. |

| My horses don't like it low, I adjust it higher and they work really well in it |

| My horse is a little too sensitive to have it so low too but I adjust it up and it's fine.

Location: Vinita, Okla. | Ronnie will tell you to let the horse tell you how low you want to have the nose- band. Each horse is gonna react to it their own way! The chain nose is only as severe as the hands using it! I'm 6'1" and starve myself to stay 165 -175, IM A MAN, and I will ALWAYS have to remember to be LITE, LITE, LITE! WITH ANY BIT! But these hacks are easy to "FEEL" with! And I've got 3 now! If the chain nose is just something you can't deal with, wrap it with gauze and/or vet wrap and/or electrical tape! Pad that sucker up, but realize you may loose a lot of the "FEEL" it's known for! But if it works for you that's all that counts! And/or contact Ronnie. He's great!!! And a very knowledgeable horseman! |

Location: the end of the rainbow | I love mine. One mare prefers it low but one mare likes it to ride a little higher. |
