Location: New Mexico | I used to use Surpass on my mare's arthritic knee but it's been on backorder forever. Other things I had good luck are Adequan once a week while running and the Back on Track knee wrap. |

Voltaren Gel just went OTC June 1. You can buy it on amazon and its massively cheaper than surpass !!! Same active ingredient. Alcohol based and it soaks in WAY BETTER than the greasy surpass. |

I had good response with a Surpass and Adequan regimin with a gelding I owned. When hauling him more than four hours, I always gave him Equioxx paste a couple of hours prior to start of the haul to keep him comfortable. |

| Summit injections. Loading dose then once a month. Helps with inflammation by increasing the viscosity of the synovial fluid around the joint. I would be glad to answer any questions. |

| Retirement is the best treatment for an arthritic knee. |

| My gelding is 9 and because of an injury has arthritis. Retirement isn't an option at this point.
I use surpass twice a day on it, BOT wrap when it's cooler to help warm it up and then coolaid wraps, cold hose, or poultice after every. single. workout.
Also look into Noltrex for knee injections. I'm going on six months with my horses injections and I haven't been easy on him - we ran every weekend twice a week when I first got him injected and it's held up much longer than I thought it would.
ETA: He's also on the best feed through supplement that money can buy and adequan injections.
