I am curious about the special Covid fee.  What did they say that money is used for?

Are you guys having to do anything special to run barrels?

Nope not in Ga...........and the only thing we really did at one of our last big shows at a State owned facility was sign a waiver ........

But I did hear  that at the Elite race next weekend that unless you are on a horse, or cleaning stalls, you must wear a mask at all times.

Anyone know if this is true?

For the most part I'm not seeing anything special at the races I've been to.

Some weeknight races are only allowing the next 14 in the warm up pen at a time, and they ask that as soon as you run you exit so the next person can go in.

We can have spectators now.

They've had to cancel a few races in Salt Lake at the Utah Fair Park. A couple because of corona, one because of the riots, one because of rain, and one last week. Salt Lake is under a mandatory mask order, how do you expect the producer to police that and put on a race.

I personally wasn't going because of the mask order. 95 + degrees and a mask, no thank you.

I avoid anywhere I'm required to wear one.

There's one facility by me that is requiring you to sign a waiver that states you haven't been around anyone with any communicable disease in 30 days. I'm a nurse on a covid floor. I'm around communicable diseases every day covid or not lol. I asked if I was even allowed to enter and they said as long as I don't test positive. They're not testing us. They then said I could but I couldn't be near anyone....They're also charging a covid fee of 2.50 in addition to the $5 office fee per person. To say the least I'm a little ticked and that facility will not be getting any of my money. I'm probably safer to be around than anybody at a grocery store...I'll just drive farther to Nbha where there aren't any special things except putting all your fees in an envelope and in a bucket at the announcer stand so Niobe congregates...

Having to sign a waiver to say that you have not been in contact with anyone that has conorvirus is so pointless, how would you know if you have been around anyone with any type of disease, they wont have it tattoo or have a sign hanging around their neck saying they do have a disease, of course many will say they have not because they dont know. And to charge a covid fee what the heck is that all about?!!!!!

I would bet that the fee is to cover the cost of the paper and printing/handling of the waiver being signed.  It would add up.

However, your point about saying you haven't been exposed etc., is like you said, useless.
