Recently aquired a brand new 3 horse BP for my birthday... hasnt even had shavings in it yet!

Anywho, what are some of your organization tips/tricks/hacks? I dont have a rear tack, just a dressing/tack room in the front. I attached some photos to show what Im working with... Thanks!!

Find a spot you like on a wall, get some sticky back velcro tape and use it to velcro your boots to the wall. I have mine on the ceiling of my little trailer, totally out of the way. I also put a piece of foam against the wall where the bridles hang so they don't bang as loud & don't get scratches if you have blingy tack. Labeled storage bins can also help keep things organized. Hanging brush/bottle holders keeps that stuff contained. Or put a brush box on the inside of the door if there isn't one already

Nice trailer, congrats!! And happy birthday!

I like the clear storage drawers. I keep first aid, boots, bits, whatever miscellaneous stuff I have in those. And they come in all sizes. Velcro for your boots is a must, and you can't go wrong adding additional screws for hanging bridles and breastcollars and stuff. The hanging door organizers are always handy too!

Happy birthday and congrats on the new trailer. I'd give you some organization advice, but if you saw my trailer you wouldnt want it. LOL

Best thing I have done is rubbermaid containers for boots/ grooming/ etc. Now if I'd just use them.

Happy Birthday! I am organizational freak so I have played around quite a bit trying to figure out how to optimize space in my two horse slant bumperpull. I also hope to upgrade one day so I try to make sure everything I do won't leave holes or marks.

*cheap white and clear shoe organizers for sprays, brushes, etc. I ran a dowl through the gromets of the shoe organizer and rested it on a few of my metal hooks. I can still use the metal hooks for halters or whatever.

*plastic totes as others have mentioned

*I have epoxyed the really powerful magnets on Amazon to the back of door organizers and then magneted them to my wall where I have no hooks. I have never had them fall. I keep light things like grooming tools in it.

* I have these hanger things. The loops open so I put the original packaging for things like my pht wraps, bot wraps, and other things I want to keep nice. The hanger hangs from the clothes rod. I used some 550 cord to tie the tip of the hanger back onto the neck so it cannot flip off the rod and it has worked great. https://www.amazon.com/Accessory-Organizer-Pefect-Delicates-Storing/dp/B00069QP9K

I hang a cloth shower curtain from the bridle hooks so the bridles/extra cinch don't scratch the wall. I went to Walmart or somewhere and found magnetic hooks for extra bridles and various light horse stuff (hoof picks, sweat scraper, etc). I tried the hooks that you press onto the walls just fell off in our heat and humidity.

Update: while moving some of my things over this evening I found out that my saddle racks are shockingly shorter than my others lol and about 6 inches of my saddles hang off...I can't push them all the way back due to the angle of the rack bends my fenders in against the wall; I've tried fa I my saddles both frontwards and backwards ?? anyone have any experience with this minor inconvenience?

Yes, years ago my Titian was like that - I used bungy straps to hold my saddles in place otherwise they fell off going down the road.

Humm, yept, those look really short, I would not want my saddles sitting on those short racks, I dont like the fact that your whole saddle is not being supported I dont think that would be good for the saddle tree. I would try to figure some way to extend the racks or just replace those with a better rack.

COngrats on your new trailer! So exciting!

In my trailer I bought self adhesive carpet tiles from Amazon. I put them up where the briddles hang so they dont scratch and bang on the trailer wall going down the road. I took my time and it looks really nice. I also put the squares on the front wall of the trailer and I hang my SMB boots with their velcro. Keepts them out of the way. I also bought a shorter brush pocket storage that hangs under my bridels. I'll try to get pictures.

Here are some of the pictures that I didnt have when I posted yesterday. These might give you an idea of what you can do in your trailer.

Brilliant...I wish there was somewhere in my LQ back tack this would work but its so tiny. I have velcro strips under each saddle rack and the boots go there. I guess I could do it on the wall between the LQ and the horse part. Boots along the wall wouldn't bother a horse if i had one in the front stall I don't think. Thanks for this life saving hack!!

Can I ask whereabouts you live? I've tried the self adhering velcro for my boots, but being in Tx after 3 trips the velcro comes unglued.... so maybe the carpet tiles might be a better idea, since they are bigger and therfor have a bigger area to glue onto the wall....

I really like the way your trailer looks with the carpet tiles. Very neat!

I live in Eastern Washington. Winters get as cold as 16 degrees and summers get up to 107 degrees. Average temp in summer is about 90's. I havent had problems with them and its been about 2 years. If you do lay them make sure you are putting the grain of the tiles the same direction. I am really happy with how it turned out! Keeps the noise down too!
