Today is
Now my friend has to do it 2x week! and she says it is painful. she is PT I dont understand why so much testing!!! I thought wearing a mask at work was bad! ugg
We have to be tested every two weeks. I have a free pass for 90 days since I had covid (yes it's a scamdemic it wasn't that bad) I just want to know what kind of $hit show it's going to be if I test postive again.... I'm also curious as to why I have to wear a muzzle (mask) since I have already had covid......
my caregiver works at a nursing home every2 weeks sh has too also
My husband has been tested 4 times ... hes a truck driver... makes a ton of sense doesn't it... he travels solo, backs up to a dock and they unload him and hes back on the road. He said it's the absolute worst. They check his temp 2xs a day at work also.. once when he arrives and another when hes headed home for the day. He had a fever once and just felt a little worn.. they wouldn't let him return to work for almost 2 weeks. They had to have the negative covid test results in their hands and sent to corporate... it took forever to get it straightened out.
The two older commentators for the SF Giants were saying the other night that in order to be allowed to do their job they have to have them every other day as do the players. The players were ready to start the game a couple of weeks ago when it was halted because one of the Giants players had supposedly tested positive. They found out the next day it was a bad test and he was not positive but they had already cancelled two games. It was very stressful for everyone and a bad scene. Only thing worse was cancelling a game in honor of Black Lives Matter
I work in the ER and have never been tested for COVID....and I come face to face with positive patients every shift
I held an in-service for nurses a few months ago and literally demonstrated how to do the nasopharyngeal swab on myself a couple times and allowed some nurses to do it on me. It's not all that bad if you do it properly. They gasped at the sight of me passing one of those brushes/swabs about 4" into my head.
I had a baby in August and had to be tested before my scheduled induction. I had knots in my stomach waiting for the test, worrying about how uncomfortable it would be. . . . they did the test and I LAUGHED. I said "That is what people worry over and complain about?" it really was nothing and surely wasn't painful. Awkward sure, but nothing to fuss over. I personally don't think it's too much to ask for those who work around high-risk individuals (i.e nursing homes).
I had gone to one of the free drive through government testing sites, they don't "brain swab". You just have to swab both nostrils no farther than you could stick your finger up there. I was expecting the other test, was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't want to have to do that one more than once ever. Took a day under 3 weeks to get my results back, guess its good I didn't have it

God Bless You for all you do to take care of people with covid.
My friend does not look forward to the testing! she gets tested 2x a week and is a physical therapist and does not work on covid floor. I am sure it depends who does the testing and your pain tolerance!
I think that this is overkill!
