| Have any of you who have been involved in Quarter racing know of a stallion or bloodline that produces offspring in the 14-14 1/2 HH range? I realize this size range is not the norm, mostly because of the breed's thoroughbred influence. Thanks. |

| Corona Cartel was small. Slick By Design is small. Merganser was small. Pappasito isn't overly big, but he throws big. I personally think height is a total crap shoot. I also think a lot of stallions are shorter than what their ads claim. |

| I'm hoping to breed a small, Smart Little Lena-type mare to a small stud. Hopefully I'll get lucky. |

| We bred agood sized Bully daughter (15.1) to Takin On The Cash (roughly the same height) and got a 14.1, maybe 14.2 when she needs trimmed pocket sized racehorse. Bred the same mare to DTF twice. The gelding is 15.1, which is small for most DTF get. The filly is about 14.2 and another pocket racehorse. Now the other ones out of tge same mare, by different stallions, are huge. The Pappasito is well over 16. Same with the Scrutinizer. The ASOF is 15 or 15.1 and still growing. |

Just curious, why are you wanting small? |

| I like the agility of a small horse, plus controlling one is easier. |

Agree on the crap shoot. Have three by the same son of Royal Quick Dash and all out of BIG race bred mares. Both gelding are right at 16.3. The mare stretches to reach 14.1 with her shoes on. |

I think the exact same way you do! None of my horses are over 14 hands..... With that being said, I bred my ASOF mare to Blazin Jetolena because of his height. I have a now 4 year old that is 13.3-14 hands. ASOF is about 14.3. |

| I remember a horse named CS Flashlight. He is supposed to be 14.3, but is a real quick sprinter. |
