Is anyone from Desdemona? We live in the PNW and are looking at property in Desdemona to live at in the winter months. It looks like a ghostown and I'm worried it will be far from arenas and races (I'm fine with 30-45 min. drive, I just don't want to drive 1+ hour to ride every day). We would love to be in Stephenville but property is much cheaper outside of Stephenville. Any input is appreciated! 

You may want to look in Dublin or Hico for property.  Both are closer to Stephenville and the prices are more reasonable.  I have a friend that bought a ranch in Desdemonia.  They love it, but she has commented on several occasions that it is further than she really wants to drive for weekly race.
