I just don't get it... plenty of jobs to be had... companies are basically begging for employees and no one wants to go to work?? How long can they live on a stimulus check? Are there more stimulus checks coming? Yet everything is going thru the roof in price because of covid ..is all I keep hearing and reading "because of covid" even my trash pickup service company just sent a notice saying due to covid we are increasing our rates.
Covid is just an excuse or cover, ITS the Biden Administration that is causing the prices to be going up on everything. Covid is their go to excuse when they are to chicken to say its the Biden people's fault.. People have no cajones when it comes to Biden!!!
Oh I agree 100%. I'd have more respect for this garbage removal company if they just said due to the increase in fuel we had to increase our rates! I'd understand that. Anyway, I ditched them for a different company that just started service out this way .. they were cheaper and included a big fancy cart. I've been stocking up when I can on certain feeds that will have a longer shelf life ... (alfalfa pellets/cubes, probably going to grab a few bags of oats too. We've started buying our chicken feed in bulk too... helps immensely with the cost .. they are on the verge of paying for themselves. My egg sales have gone up! I haven't raised my prices. I don't make a profit really... but I'm happy if they can pay for their own feed and feed us as well. |

It's not just the stimulus money. The Biden team endorsed adding $300 a week to unemployment benefits. Trump warned against this since some people are making enough to live on now without working. This goes on until September. Restaurant owners are working their tails off trying to do the work themselves and will tell you their employees who were out of work because of the Covid shutdown tell them they might come back to work when their unemployment runs out.....or they might not. |

Location: Willows, CA | We manufacture Renew Gold in Dalton Ohio. Freight to the West Coast has gone from $3100 per truck load to $4700 per truck load in the last 9 months. There are 1430 bags on a full truckload. That works out to an increase in cost of $1.12 per bag, just in freight cost. As a company, we have done everything we can to hold our price where it is and hope that trucking will improve soon. The freight companies tell me that they can't get enough drivers, and that limits the number of trucks running. That and increases in fuel prices mean that you pay what they ask or don't ship. All that said, it seems to have softened a little in the last month. I hope we will see a downward trend as far a truck availability and therefore competition for the hauling job. Fuel though, that is another subject. |
