| Texas?????? Since King Abbott decided to lift all restrictions our numbers have continued to decline and major hospitals like Parkland are closing their Covid units. Texas was only partially locked down and while there was a mask mandate it wasn't enforced. Most people complied even in our relatively rural county. I did not. If a business is still requiring it I don't spend my money there. Interestingly enough it was never the small businesses that forced it on their customers it is/was the big box stores like Target, Ulta or TJ Maxx.
The last year has been eye opening and while I might just be one person I will no longer spend my dollars at places that I fundamentally feel don't support America or American freedoms. So I cancelled my YouTube TV, deleted my Facebook acct(so LIBERATING) rarely shop at WalMart and no more Amazon. The best way to hit back at these companies is in the pocket book. Facebook monetizes you by selling your information to advertisers. Facebook thrives bc of us not in spite of us. I deleted my account in January and never looke back. Life is MUCH better?? |

Location: where the wind blows | I was very close to deleting my fb account with all the censorship crap. Sadly where I live every flippen barrel racing event info is via fb. All of them. If you don't have fb you know nothing. Or you'd have to have a friend enter you, ask for time onlies, etc. Which after about the second event I think I'd run out of friends. As well I found fb was making my depression really bad, so much political unrest in Canada with the idiot sock boy drama teaching liberal communist loving arse we have in power. I'd unfollow political friends yet I'd scroll through and see post after post about the latest **** that arse has done. What I ended up doing is I opened a second account with just my first and middle name. I only added my immediate family and 4 friends and then just all my equestrian sites, some Christian sites snd some local buy sell sites. I only pop on now once a day or so to check for event updates. My life is much more peaceful. If the barrel race event producers would find a different way to run their events I'd totally delete. I rarely shop big boxes type stores. Once covid hit last spring I made a huge effort to shop and support local small businesses or local coop type stores. |

| I'm in SD. Absolutely nothing has changed for me. Never wore a mask, self employed so I didnt quit working. Still go to barrel races, rodeos, games, family gatherings, funerals, etc. I've pretty much shopped where I want to, only been kicked out of one store for not wearing a mask. I stopped watching/following the news so I rarely hear anything about covid anymore. |

It's so dumb. I'm in CO. Our governor is a mask nazi that ruined many small businesses. My husband works in Denver on a construction site. They have had very strict mask mandates and social distancing since day 1. Just about everyone has had COVID now. Hubby got it back in February. Within a couple of days I had it too. We were already doing the ivermectin protocol. We had two days that were sucky. Beyond that, it wasn't a big deal. I've had worse flu bugs. I think the vitamin protocol was key for us not getting it very badly.
If you have underlying health issues, I can see how COVID is a very real concern. If you are healthy and boost your immune system, it isn't as concerning. My 87 year old dad got it in December. He too had a few rough days, but it wasn't bad for him either. He's very healthy for his age. He's in OK and things are pretty open there.
So I'm curious to know what the Ivermectin protocol was you followed?

Location: Jersey Girl | I'm in NJ. Our butt head governor is on a power trip. Just this week he is "allowing" restraurants to open at 50% capacity. I'm not sure what it is for social gatherings. He is also PUSHING the covid vaccine and was pushing hard to get everyone tested too . As far as barrel racing, last year races started up about May. Private facilities holding races didn't really care if you did the mask thing or social distancing but did all the posturing for it. There were no races at state or county owned facilities. This year there are races at the state/county owned but you are supposed to wear a mask at all times unless you are on a horse and no spectators are allowed. So flipping stupid. We just need to open all up again and get back to normal. On the bright side I now get to work from home. I absolutely LOVE working from home and not having to commute. |

| I'm in Ontario, Canada and let me tell you, it's disgusting what is happening here!! Today we entered out THIRD, province-wide, 28 day (minimum) lockdown. Restaurants are closed for dine-in. All sporting events not allowed (including any barrel races). All rodeos in 2020 were cancelled and so far that has continued in 2021. I'm going insane here. If the boarder was open I would be gone. My mare and I were ready for our rookie rodeo year last year, spent all my time and money prepping then they were all cancelled. Feeling extremely frustrated as a competitor and wondering why I am paying so much to own a competitive horse. I'm looking at internship options at the end of the year now to give me something to look forward to. |

| Even though all the restrictions were lifted here in Texas. There are still a handful of restaurants that aren't allowing indoor dining.. its drive thru or curbside only. We walked into pizza hut last night only to find that the dining room was closed. So annoying... while whataburger across the street had a line out the door and a line thru the drive thru that spilled out onto the street. Burger King and McDonald's are the same.. drive thru only. They are always EMPTY too. I can't imagine they are making much money doing this ... but maybe less overhead? We ended up just going to our little local Mexican joint that never closed or required masks in the first place .. we choose to support them as much as possible.. (even if we didn't feel like eating Mexican lol!) |
