Is there an app, preferably free, that you can track how many miles you ride? Not necessarily trails, but during workouts too.

Edit: If there is a really good app that has workout schedules that would be nice too. I'm willing to pay if it's a good app and isn't too expensive.

I used Endomondo for years but in December it was replaced with Sportstracker. I've used the new one a few times now and I like it just as much as the original.

I used equilab until I got my garmin watch. The equilab was free and worked really well. It would provide you with a map of where you rode and broke you path down into different gaits.

I use Equilab as well. Some people complain that its not accurate, but I think that depends on your area. In indoor arenas, it's not as accurate, but I've not had any problems when I'm not indoors.

What do you use with your Garmin watch?  I just use the bike activity & it at least tells me how long & how far I've gone.  I hate carrying my phone on me when I ride.

There is a horseback riding app that I downloaded from the Garmin store. Off the top of my head, the only thing it doesn't do that Equilab did is break things down into gaits. It still tells me how far I rode, provides a map from GPS, gives speeds throughout the ride and tell you the low and top speed, etc.
