When is the best time to haul a bred broodmare 8 hours home? I'm planning on leaving her for the heartbeat check for sure. 

I had one sent to OK from VA to be bred and they sent her back after her 15 day ultrasound. Baby was fine. More important than when is weather. Don't wait until the worst of summer is here!

Neighbors aid us went from north east Iowa to Wyoming on vacation with our kids riding out horses in the Big Horns. 

Rode a week. 

Came home straight run. 900 miles. 

The mare his daughter was riding had a colt 3 days later. 

Didn't even know she was bred. 

We all felt bad that we put that mare thru all of that but none of us never knew she was bred. 

So I guess what ever you decide is probably okay.
