| I am thinking I am going to get a set of iconoclast boots. Does anyone else use these? Do you like them? Also, would the tall hinds be better for barrel racing or do you just get the regular hinds? I imagine they have improved since they first came out.

Only thing I use when running my horses. The X Tall depends on how long your horses cannon bones are. I don't personally need them for my horses but I know people that use them |

| Oh so you don't use them? I just read older reviews that they don't last very long, but that was years ago so wondering if they are better made now. |

| I use them and prefer them over most boots. With that said I haven't tried the new Legacy 2s yet and am curious if I would prefer those over the Iconoclast.
I feel they last just as long, if not longer than any other boot. Actually annoys me sometimes how hard it can be to undo the velcro when I am trying to put them on :)
Some feel they are too bulky, but personally does not bother me. I put Classic Equine legacys on my mares hind legs one run, when I typically use Iconoclast on her. Maybe it was a complete fluke deal, but she made a misstep when she rated for the 2nd barrel and kind of stuck a hind foot in the ground, causing a tendon sheath injury that she needed 4 months off for. Many, many times I questioned if it would've been injured if she would've been in her Iconoclast boots. Hard to say.
ETA I do not use the tall hinds. My horses are 15.0 hands at most and I haven't felt like I would need talls.

Location: Randolph, Utah | I've used them quite a bit but I have some pairs that are stiffer/thicker feeling than others. Maybe they've changed through the years. I do like them on some horses but some horses I just can't get them to fit. |

I used them for years. They offer great support IMO but found they run small. I just sold mine and switched to PC anc CE mainly because they are so much easier to put on and they come in pretty colors. |

Location: Washington | We started using them this year. I got the talls for our cutters. When they are getting back and working over their hocks, I wanted more protection. The velco can be a pain, it's very sticky! Like someone else mentioned, I do believe they run a little small. |
