Location: Ky | I don't know they turned sideways. They weren't when I posted them. Anyway, the middle one is mine that he made for me a year or so ago. So I had one made for the Dan Griffith Memorial Flag Race that's coming up the end of June. I think they intend to give it to winner. The World Flag Race is in July. I think they intend to auction it at the show as a fund raiser. I told them both to do as they please. Once I give them the bench it's theirs to do as they please. The flag racer in the bench is actually me. He made the template from a picture of me. He can make pretty much anything. And any color. He makes them for sports teams. He could make barrel racing, pole bending, dogs, etc. Very heavy duty. Solid steel. Painted with automotive paint. Very heavy!! |

No, he doesn't donate. I had to buy those. I am donating them. He gives me a bit of a discount because I've bought so many and sent him customers. The guy works for a large welding shop here. The benches are a side gig. His wife works in an automotive repair shop where I have my vehicles serviced. But I've know her for years because she helps with putting on horse shows. They let him display the benches in there. The first one I ever saw was a Harley Davidson bench he made. Then he made a UK one and they started selling fast. His wife mentioned that he could do a horse show theme if I had a picture for him to base it on. That's how he built my first one.Others saw mine and started having him do other events, hunting, dogs, etc. Even with a discount I paid considerably more for these two than ever because the cost of materials have sky rocketed. It would be hard for him to advertise except locally. No telling what it cost to ship one of these. Alittle horse story on him, if anyone remembers Red Man Bay it was his sister that rode him. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | You need to buy a few benches and donate to BHW to give out to some of the events they sponsor, or do a silence auction on here for a BHW bench. Or you could buy a ad on here too, lots of horse people go threw the ads everyday. Do you have a video of you running the Flag race? Or a Picture? |

I'm sure I do. I'll have to look for it. I've got tons of videos and pictures but not many digital. |

Yes. Well, my older brother did many years ago. My wife ran barrels and poles. I ran poles quite a bit myself. I won the Ky State amatuer pole bending 3 times. My wife won it once. That horse in the picture was my best horse ever. I still have him. He's living the good life as a pasture ornament. 31 years old now. He was a hellova barrel horse in his younger days. Chris Duke won a go at Ft Smith on him. But flag racing is my thing. Or was! Now I just support the big ones as best I can. I'm sponsoring a big flag race at Liberty, Ky this weekend in conjunction with the IBRA Match Race and Preferred Show. It's a $2K added flag race with a guaranteed $10K payout. Then the Dan Griffith memorial Flag Race is the next weekend at Mt Vernon, Il. I think it's $4K added? The World Flag Race is the 3rd weekend in July in Milan, Tn. Those and the Ky State Fair Quarter Horse Show are the only shows we go to now. And last year they didn't even have the Ky State fair due to Covid. That first picture picking up the flag is at the Ky State show. That's Freedom Hall. he second one is at the Tn State show at the Tn Miller Coleseum in Murfreesboro, Tn. |
