I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find anything-thoughts on lightweight saddles:  Seven Saddles, Masters & ProLite (SK)?

I have friends with Masters lightweight saddles. They ride them every day and they've held up well.

I have a Masters which is currently being used by a friend. I think it is holding up fine.

I bought a Masters a couple of months ago. I didn't like it at first because of how it rode. I had to change out the stirrups and that helped alot. While I still do not love the saddle there are things I like about it. Of course it being lightweight, its a good looking saddle and so far (knock wood) it seems to fit my hard to fit, hip high with a little muscle atrophy horse pretty well.

You do have to find the right pad to use with it. I use a 1/2" 5 star with 1/4" shims I cut from an old pad liner to fill in the dip in her back and get perfect sweat marks.

I also do not ride in it all the time. I switch back and forth between that and my BM for arena work and trail riding but always barrel race in the Masters.

A lot of ladies around my area are buying the seven saddles like crazy. But after a month or so of them using them I've been seeing them up for sale. I rode in a seven on a friends horse and the saddle seat was very hard. My butt hurt for days after.

I bought a Masters 5 months ago.  I love it.  I did put SA Walls stirrups on it.  Took a little getting used to but I love it. I got a pencil roll seat.  I would rather

have the regular seat but they're hard to come by.  I didn't want to wait to order one. Bought a new horse and didn't have a saddle that fit her.

I have a friend who bought a used one over a year ago.  It's held up great.

I bought it for a new horse that's 16 hands.  Can't tell you how nice it is to have a light saddle.  And it's gorgeous.
