What is everyone's exercise routines for a bleeder? Do you breeze them often? Lope more than you longtrot? My gelding is having very mild bleeds through 6 cc's of Lasix, Glycopyrrolate, and Albuterol. The bleeds are very mild and only in the upper respitory tract, my vet isn't too concerned but I want to make sure I am doing everything I can to help him!
I did about 20 minutes of long trotting a day and 20 minutes of loping a day on mine. Loping at variosu speeds, usually 5 minute intervals. With all the warming up, walk breaks, & cooling down it was about 1hour 20 minutes ride. Five days a week and then one easy day, sometimes I just walked & lightly trotted some waterways or trails or whatever I felt like at the time. I started breezing just the long side of the arena, and then built up to 1/2 mile. Once I got to about 200 feet of breezing I started giving lasix to breeze. No point in blowing one out full speed for 1/4-1/2 mile and having them bleed & have to deal with the cycle of meds & rest. Usually gave Equipulmin before each workout and eventually switched to the MVP AirWay and Breathe O2 paste. I don't think any amount of fitness will necessarily stop a bleeder but it might give you a couple extra seconds of run before they bleed or sometimes bleed less.

D*mn! Does it take you all do to ride the one horse? Serious question here. Why do some of y'all condition the heck out of a horse that's only performing for 17 seconds. I would understand if you ride endurance or cross country or raced TBs. Please explain the long training sessions. Racetrack/lameness vet here told me not to train like that. He said it's too much and wears the body down.
