My guy is going great in front heartbar shoes with shock tamer pads. Farrier put a small snow rim on and ice and snow are still balling up bad. My farrier said it's tough to use a snow pad with that type of shoe. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I am not willing to change his shoeing right now as he is feeling great. I've tried packing with Vaseline, didn't work. Tried Pam spray, didn't work. Any other ideas? Someone mentioned play doh but I don't know about that. He is out side 24/7.

The best thing I have found to help is Crisco. In my experience it reduced the balling up but did not eliminate it. Keep the Crisco in the house and apply morning and night if you can.
