Location: NW. Florida | For the last 3 years my life has been a whirlwing. Me and my family survived Huricane Michael it damaged, or destroyed my house, barns, and out buildings. It took us about a year to get almost everything rebuilt, I still have a pole barn and pasture fencing that has to be be rebuilt. My barrel horse tore her suspensory playing in the pasture, she had surgery and unfortunely it wasn't a sucess. So I haven't been riding, just feeding them. I've been running up and down the road a lot! For the past 3 years I've been going with a kid PCA and open rodeoing. Which is rewarding in itself seeing her develop her skills. She made it to the PCA finals in the highschool division in 2019, which was her 10th grade year, Covid hit, so they didn't have a finals in 2020, and now she made it again this year 2021. We will be back in Biloxi January 6th through the 9th watching her in run four rounds in the finals. She did receive a rodeo schlorship to Southern Arkansas University, and has been there for a semester. So even though I haven't been riding mine, I've been busy. Her being 12 hours away for a semester and me having a lot of time on my hands now, I started probably my last baby and will be starting him on the barrels in the next few weeks. It's harder at 50 years old and my old body doesn't work like it use to. |
