Been a long time since I've been on here, need someone with expertise on Ed Wright saddles. I've owned about 6 of them but all older, most Shilohs. Does anyone know if the NEW ones have the same tree/fit the same? My old ones fit just about everyone (90's model) but I snagged a Debbie Langdon Ed Wright and it's narrower. Have a chance to buy one of the most recent versions but I want to be sure it will fit. Looking for an "expert" on the topic, I know he used 4 different saddle makers, called Casey but she wasn't sure. Thanks all!

I've ridden nothing but Ed Wright saddle for the last 25 years . They're stillmade by the same person and the standard tree still fits very well. They have a flatter seat, which I want, not the "pocket type " built up in front with suoer high cantle . I also have a wider tree that was a special order. I use it for a few of my horses that are bigger/thicker than normal.
They're still a very high quality saddle for a super good price.

THANK YOU! Yes I love riding them, only complaint would be the tiny baby horn ;) but just wanted to know if they fit the same since this Debbie/Ed didn't work out. :) Sounds like I should be good to bite the bullet and try the new one out!

They do have a smaller, shorter horn. I never have liked the trick rider, skinny/tall horns so it's worked out for me. I don't know if you're anywhere near me but you're welcome to sit in one of mine if you ever get out this way :-)
