Has anyone experienced the felt on under side shredding? How can it be repaired? Company will  to replace even though they have 100% lifetime guarantee.

How old is the pad? It looks like a mouse or something chewed through it.

Been using Saddlerights for over a decade now, and so have several friends of mine. Have never seen this. Could it be like the other poster said, mice or rats?

I believe that the lifetime guarantee is for the plates to never compress.

Underside is thinning and starting to shed

all along underside of pad along spinal area. I have an older square saddle right that is still in great condition. This one that is tearing is only 3 years old. Do not suspect mice bc of how snd where it is kept plus it is not occurring on my other 5 pads stored in same place.

I almost looks like the pad was used with really really poor saddle fit or on a high withered horse to allow it to rub in those specific areas. I would also agree its NOT mice as there are equally sized holes on both sides. Mice wouldn't do that,

Just call Saddleright and talke with them.  My oldest is probably 15 years old and it still looks brand new and I don't use the liner.  I just take it to the car wash after shedding season every year.

Mind did the same thing!! I had bought another one over 10 yrs ago that was used and it lasted me till a small hole wore in the front. So I got a new one, rode it for about yr till I didn't have a horse anymore to run. Hung in trl for 2 yrs. started using it again and it done the SAME thing, even came apart on the side too. Called the Co. and send pictures, they were so rude to me!! Told me I had put it up wet, and I didn't. Mine was like yours looked  liked new on top side and bottom. No help what so ever, said they'd give me $100 off a new one. SO if I'm going to buy something new, Im going to spend my money with some Co. that's not rude and acted like I was lying!!
