I use PHT, I'm not a fan of the ceramics idea. Plus it's too hot for them here in IL most of the season anyway. There's a lot of people that seem to like the other magnet options as well. I try to put my PHT on my horses when they're inside. I will throw it on after I work them too while they stand cooling off. I cool mine out before putting away or turning back out for at least an hour. If I have time to fart around cleaning stalls or something I will put it on before the workout too. If they're outside I just use Draw it Out on the body, just about everywhere. Never in conjunction with the PHT, you can't use any products under it beyond what they sell thats desinged to be safe for their fabric. Hose off after working, weather depending.

As a routine I do a lot of walking, I will ride for an hour and I bet 30 minutes of that is walk. Just keeping them mobile often without strenuous activity will keep them loose. On their day off a week I still try to walk them, either by hand or lunge line, for 30 minutes. Mine also have a monthly chiro appointment and massage/pemf.

I've heard alot of good things about the XRL8. I use benefab & really like it. I have their neck hood also & I really like it. So does my horse

I just saw that BOT is releasing a new "summer" friendly mesh sheet, supposed to be much cooler. At $140 I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I do love my original BOT sheets but I really only use them in the cooler months. Otherwise I do use my benefab sheet during the hot months here in Texas. Hot and humid and miserable but the benefab is light and airy enough it doesn't cause sweating.

I have a XLR8 sheet that I love!  I went to Josey's last year for a clinic. I kept it on him everynight.

He never once got hot in it. I reallly do think to kept him from getting sore.  I had him checked for soreness several times during the week. He never came up sore.

I put it on him everytime I haul. I never worry about him getting hot.

It is a great sheet for the price point.

May be an image of horse and outdoors

I have used benefab and currently use xlr8. I dont see much of a difference if any, but I love them both. I use BOT quick wraps overnight before runs and ice legs post run. I love anything BOT as long as its not too hot out. The only downside ive noticed with the sheets- two of my horses get so relaxed wearing them that i have to be sure to take them off an hour or two before i even tack up. If i dont, they are relaxed to the point that they dont even clock well.
