If you have a basement of food. How are you going to stop 35 starving people from taking it away from you. |

| There's a full blown militia group that meets down the road from us.. I use to kind of poke fun at them... not quite so much now. In fact... we should probably get on their good side. I know they are huge preppers too. I have a few friends that are kinda half preppers. Should probably take it a bit more serious |

Location: Alberta | I find it interesting the marketing of the word 'preppers", when just over a 100 years ago it was actually just life. You grew your own food, lived within your means and life went on. They werent dependant on the system as we have been groomed to be now and the idea of self suficient was normal. Bottom line is everyone only has day by day....grow a garden, enjoy life and be kind to others. |

Yes!! I remember my grandparents' big garden, and Grandma canning. She always had cans of veggies and fruits. |

Location: Alberta | As do I ;) Even when my grandparents moved to town after retiring off the dairy, she had a huge garden and a canning room in their basement. |
