Where are you getting this information? I'm curious to know what's going on

I saw a post on facebook saying someone's truck was broken into and their wallet and gun were stolen.
Even IF the barrel racers there are honest, the theives that are local around there know there is a huge event going on so it is an easy target for them. It's sad but it's reality.
That's such a shame. We felt safe there and had a wonderful time. We did keep our stuff locked. Sad world we live in.
I keep my things locked at any show, wether I'm there for the day or weekend. It's locked up in the LQ with my dog or back tack. I won't even keep hay in front of my stall, I've had whole bales swiped by people. I've had around 5-6 things stolen, someone took my hay net right off the side of my trailer once too. I at least put that stuff in the horse part now, hoping at least having to open/close a door with people around would deter them. I've recovered 2 of the items, both were snatched by young teenagers. I get so tired of crap, it's part of the reason I use basic plain tack. Seems like thats stolen less than more blingy/fancy items
