Hi, I'm considering breeding my mare in '23 or '24 and would like some input.    My mare is FWF/Tres Seis, both her sire and dam are arena record holders.  She stands a stout 14.3.   This foal would be a keeper, not going into it breeding to sell.   I like my mare's conformation, mind, try and grit.   I'd like a carbon copy of her.

I'm looking for a stallion that has and produces correct conformation and a quiet, user friendly mind.    Big names or junior stallions are considered.    I don't futurity or hit the huge races so all the incentives aren't a requirement.   Looking for a barrel/all-around prospect.   Prefer foal to end up around 14.3-15.2.   Not interested in super tall horses.

I can raise and train one. I'm just not proficient at what bloodlines cross the beat with others.   Thank you.

Famous Bugs crosses really well with FWF horses.  He is pretty much a plus in all those catagories.

I know he's not built like her, but I would cross her on Lions Share of Fame.

You know you could sell that mare for a small fortune?  Since life has a way of happening, I'd breed with an eye towards the baby being an investment you could sell if circumstances change.

Never say never but I don't see my mare leaving my hands anytime soon.   Who would you breed her to?   Give me a list of suggestions please.

Feel the Sting

French Streakin Jess

HP Dash Ta Fiesta (However, I am not sure if you want FWF on both bottom and top)

Your mare is beautiful! Love her build and tried to name stallions that have similar builds. I have a 3 year old mare (out of cowbred mare) sired by French Streakin Jess--she is really built and barely 15 hands. Wonderful mind. I have a foal due in 2023 sired by Feel the Sting. HP Dash ta Fiesta is on my short list for 2024. I like mare power! We like to breed for barrels and roping.

I think Fiestas Gotta Gun would be a fun cross for AA horse

French Streakin Jess and Feel the Sting for barrels specifically.

I have heard Eddie Stinsons get follow the dam is terms of size and confirmation

Actually, I would talk to Amy, Rockinas, and get her opinion. Nobody knows her horses like she does.

She's adoreable!

And I love her papers...  I really like High Road Ta Fame, or Freckles Ta Fame.  Both have cow and run...

Your mare is stunning! I'm going off the beaten path here, but I have had 2 YQH Frenchman Fly babies. Their minds have both been incredible, and they just act like life come easy for them. They're very confident and extremely well balanced.

Fly is getting older, and he's not in any incentives but I don't futurity or go hard so I didn't mind. Fly is a maternal brother to Mulberry Canyon Moon, and by Frenchmans Guy.

Enjoy the process and your baby!

Cheri was at highpoint today with her studs. The full brother to Feel The Sting is stunning. Go look at the two young studs she has there.

Frenchmans Fabulous or Bullseye Bullion would be my picks for her. Best wishes.

I am dipping my toes into breeding.  Eek! : ) I have these two studs and am really happy with them.  I love the Firewater Ta Fame horses and am going with that bloodline in my program.  They are both currently around 14.3 and will probably not grow much taller.  At least I don't think the 2018 will.  The 2020 might get a bit taller but I don't anticipate he will be very tall based on his dam and sire.  They are young and unproven but are really coming along nicely.  Both have great minds.  Neither are paid into the incentives, so there is that.  What do you think about either one as a cross with your mare?  Comments on their breeding and other bloodlines that you would cross them with are greatly appreciated too.  Thank you!

I have a son of Firewater Finale and he's been a fabulous cross on Corona Cartel granddaughters. He's bred several, Ivory James, Coronas Leaving You and 2 others and they are the favorite babies every year. Very trainable too. Lots of options with your mare but a son of CC might be good or IvoryJames himself.
