Today is
I'm trying out a really nice mare, she's 15 and super solid just a good all around been there done that type. I've had her here for a few weeks and have a PPE scheduled this Friday. This mare is a SAINT... and in extra good flesh, maybe too good of flesh. She's incredibly sweet and well mannered, does whatever you ask and I put my youngest son on her who doesn't ride confidently, he is scared to get out of a walk most times. He was having a blast on her, trotting all over the pen turning her backing her up side passing.. he thought he was a super trainer lol! He gave his approval. Anyway, I was messing with her mouth the other day and she opened up real wide and I caught a glimpse of her teeth. I thought I was seeing things. My daughter is a tech and I called her out to help me get a look and we couldn't believe what we saw! Never would have thought this mare had these issues .. just by her body condition and her sweet sweet do whatever you ask attitude. My vet came out yesterday and did what she could for the time being. It took a while but it's so much better. We are going to go a 2nd round but in a few months. She did fantastic this mare isn't even sore or showing any signs of discomfort. All is good. Just wanted to share these photos because personally I've never seen anything like this. This mare would go with a piece of baling twine around her nose she's super soft so we have just been using a side pull and a hack on her. You can actually ride her around bridleless with a rope around her neck and get along just fine. She's insanely broke and safe.
WOW! That poor thing. You definetly have a good one.
