Location: Montgomery TX | For Texas, its pretty yuck!! Cold rainy muddy, the high today is 39 - but it's not icy or snowy here. My husband is working an 1 1/2 hours west and every thing is frozen. I need to put out round bales but am worried I might get the tractor stuck - supposed to warm up this weekend, get a few days break from the rain and then start back up again, but at least it won't be as cold..... edited to add - i know some of you have it so much more cold and yuck....

| It's been cold here in Iowa, but no precipitation. Supposed to warm up this weekend into the 40s. So will go from frozen to mud in a big hurry. I sort of feel like I'd like to keep the frozen around. I get sick and tired of cleaning off mud. |

Location: Displaced Iowegian | Fortunately for us, the "ice" weather has gone south of us. We just got an inch or so of "sleet". I wasn't prepared last week and we lost electric for 14 hours. This week we were prepared but didn't need it ..... LOL |

Location: My happy place | It's cold and bad right now and been like a roller coaster. However we have had the 5th warmest January ever so I'm not going to complain. I also can't come on here and gripe about the cold. Some of you have it awful, don't know how you do it, the older I get the more I hate cold weather. |

Location: Texas | It's been icy and cold in N. Texas the past few days. Hopefully, it'll warm up above freezing today. We are not equipped for this stuff. The worst of it is breaking ice on water troughs. Oh, and trying to walk on the ice rink that my yard is. I don't know how you do it up north. |

It's been bad here too. Not necessarily the temperature that hovered around 30°. But the wind and sleet was horrible. Our oak tree looked like a weeping willow this morning and now everything is thawing, so icycles are falling from buildings, trees, and wires... and some of them are big!! I gave warmish water to the horses 4 times a day, but I did find that after wrapping muck buckets in reflective insulation it kept the water from freezing in my 3-sided barn. And to my surprise the flex buckets that i have sitting in 2 stacked tires (normally filled with peppermint water) did not freeze at all either! So next time we have this ice-stuf coming through that might help you. |

Location: Dubach, LA | I ain't seen the sun in 3 d*mn days. Rain and cold rain and cold rain and cold rain and cold MUD. MUD Nasty wet cold. Indoor three day race 12 miles from me this weekend, but I may not be able to get trailer out of my driveway. I've lost count of the inches of rain in the last two weeks and more rain forecast. |

Location: Texas | Our weather is pretty miserable. The temperature itself isn't awful, 40s during the day and 30s at night, but it's just rained daily for what feels like eternity. Everywhere is mud. Everything is sloppy. And my mare foaled 2 weeks early right in the middle of it. But she's pretty cute and is in a big stall so, it's not the worst. |
