| Hey y'all , something I've had mixed answers about, including from vets. Wondering what you do.
You run a horse on lasix , a known bleeder. You make the short go. You don't have enough time to replenish & re dose your horse. ( say you're at the end of the draw in the long go, and make the short go. The short go starts 1 hr after ) how woud you proceed ? Ok to run again ? Or give more lasix ? A half dose ? let me know what you think or do.

Yea but what if it was the cinch playoffs and you could 45k in basically a day? Would you walk away? I'm not sure if the answer either but there has to be a plan in place I would think . Or like the American , they come right back as well . |

Location: Wisconsin | https://equimanagement.com/news/lasix-24-hours-out-shows-promise-as-treatment-for-eiph-in-horses/ Ive been going with this and have seen some pretty great results. The studies are ever changing but I never liked the idea of no water. |

Location: Dubach, LA | I'm no expert. I recently ran my first ever lasix horse a few times. I had a major anxiety attack at race that ran really really s.l.o.w. because I prepared to run around 3 and actually ran after 5. I had given the lasix at 11. A local trainer/futurity friend said it would be ok as did owner. I asked vet later and he said it lasts longer than most people realize and six hours out is still effective. |

that study sounda reall encouraging , until you read it and find there were 7 horses in it, TOTAL. One horse for every protocol, including placebo. |
