| I am having a biopsy and D & C on Thursday Doctor is talking Cervical cancer...he scared me to death and now is wanting to have this done asap. I am about to go nuts thinking about it and will surely be a wreck waiting to be able to get results... anyone else out there had and experience with cervical cancer... Please pray that the results are not maligant(spl) |

Location: texas | Prayers for you. Sometimes docs give so much information that it can be scary. You just have to remember that they are trying to give the worst case senerio, just in case. I am sure that they will do all they can to make sure you are healthy. |

Location: in texas now! | Praying for you to have good results on your test. I had what the doctor called the start of cervical cancer about 8 years ago. They also had me scared to death, but it all turned out okay. I was sure the way they talked I would probably die within a week, they did that procedure where they freeze your cervics and kill the cells or whatever. It worked . Good luck and let us know the results. |

| I had some irregular cells about 7 years ago. My doctor scared the heck out of me, too. We did a biopsy first. It came back with some not so good results, but doctor was optomistic. We froze the cervix, came back in 6 months with another irregular pap, so had to freeze the cervix again. I've not had any problems since then (knock on wood). Cervical "cancer," as they like to call it, is quite common. ANY changes in the type of cells they find throws a red flag and they like to explore and wipe them out ASAP. That's why it is SO, SO important to get an annual pap test to stay on top of this sort of thing. My thoughts and prayers are with you! You'll do just fine! |
